The purpose of this course is to address the regulatory aspects of the management, operation and supervision of a real estate brokerage firm in Texas. The content is developed by the Texas Real Estate Commission, the Real Estate Center, and an advisory committee of licensees, lawyers, and education providers. It covers a variety of topics considered essential to the real estate brokerage practitioner. Brokers who sponsor sales agents, designated brokers, team leaders, and any license holder who supervises one or more other license holders, must complete this 6-hour broker responsibility course. Additionally, a sponsoring broker may, by policy, require any sponsored license holders or employees to take this course. Compliance and risk reduction are at the root of this TREC created course.
