The TREC 1-4 Family Residential Contract is the most commonly used form for residential agents in Texas. This course will examine, paragraph by paragraph, the issues negotiated in the majority of home transactions. Beyond the price, issues such as financing, earnest money, option periods, repairs, closing, possession, and many others will be discussed. Agents will be able to more effectively assist their clients in negotiating the purchase or sale of a home. The very heart of what a residential real estate agent in Texas does is assist clients in negotiating the TREC 1-4 Family Contract. This course will hone the skills necessary for agents to provide that service. Other topics include when an offer becomes a contract, when an offer may be withdrawn, how to handle multiple offers, and more.
